Bio

Aditya Mayya is a Canadian comedian, filmmaker, and writer based in New York City. He is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film and Television. He currently works as a Development Associate for ALL FACTS Documentaries. 

He has been the recipient of several awards, including the 2020 Award of Excellence in Writing and the 2017 Josh Goldfaden Award. He has written for several comic publications, including The Black Sheep, Washington Square Local, and The Follow Up KC's "If This Were a Newspaper." 

 

While at NYU, he was a member of its esteemed stand-up group Astor Place Riots. He has performed across New York City and Toronto, appeared in 2021's NY Underground Comedy Festival, and was a semifinalist at 2021's AMG Comedy Festival. He can currently be seen as a host and performer at The Half-Pint Comedy Hour, a live variety show held monthly at the legendary Arlene's Grocery in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

 

In his spare time, he likes watching movies and will not rest until he has found Mr. Goodbar.
